Thurman Munson Memorial Stadium is leased and managed by the Ohio Men’s Senior Baseball League.

Major League Quality Field

Built in 1989 to match the quality and surface conditions of Progressive Field, home of the Cleveland Indians. It continues to be one of the finest baseball fields in the country.

We have an enclosed press box with Public Address system and lighted scoreboard.

Named in honor of Thurman Munson.

Future Hall of Fame Yankee catcher, who was killed August 2, 1979 in a plane crash at nearby Akron-Canton Airport.

Built in 1989, the ballpark has a capacity of 5,700 people. It has luxury loges, concession stands, picnic area, press box, lighted scoreboard, locker rooms, offices, and clubhouse.

Munson Stadium’s playing field is the finest all grass field available for amateur play in the state.

Built to major league field specifications, the field was voted Beam Clay Professional Diamond of the Year for 1995-1996.

The playing surface continues to be rated best in Ohio by the players and staff who use it.
